It was in 1982 that the company António Ribeiro Ascenso Lda was created, a social designation inspired by the name of its founder, at the time dedicated exclusively to the production of compound feed. Later, with the growth of other business areas, namely livestock production, Pura Ração, Ração e Animais Lda was formed. Since the beginning of the activity, our compound animal feeds have been marketed through the brand, Rações Soanimal.
Over the years, namely in the late nineties, the company started producing pigs, following the highest quality criteria and the best practices associated with maximizing animal welfare. The fulfillment of these assumptions allows you to have as market partners the market leaders in the sale of meat in Portugal.
Since 2007, our compay works under the name, Pura Ração, Ração e Animais Lda.
Over the past few years the company has been investing in the import and export of raw materials associated with the manufacture of animal feed and, more recently, it has become an official distributor for Portugal of the Pet Food brands Everland and Equilibrio, owned by the largest world agri-food group, the ADM group.

We are pork producers under the best european community practices, we intend to maximize animal welfare and the quality of our meat. Our meat is 100% consumed in Portugal.
